MEDICAL EVIDENCE

Identification of personality by the examination of a found part of the lowExtremityDr. Bilal Sablouh & Dr. Abdul Rahman Annous SCCFMS, LebanonThe legislative authorities put following questions to be answered by forensic specialists:
  1. Was there any medical evidence for its amputation?
  2. To define a supposed person ( sex, age, height) [hait].
The following plan of work was worked out:
  1. The careful external examination of it.
  2. It’s pathology- anatomical dissection for determination if there were pathological changes that have caused its amputation.
  3. Its forensic examination aimed to determine its owner.
The forensic medical examination gave the following diagnostic indices [indaisiz]:*      Using Nannies table it was determined that it was a woman.*      Using Roly, Manuvrie, TILKA & Trotro- Elizer tables it was determined that her height [hait] was 158-163 sm.*      To determine her age the signs of Roflin were used & as the result, the approximate age was 15-50 years old.
